MIXT is a fast casual chain that focuses on salads, bowls and sandwiches and has locations in CA, AZ and Washington D.C. They came to us looking for an updated brand identity that would help them stand out in an increasingly competitive landscape. We developed a new brand style guide, which included establishing a flexible photography style and consistent way to shoot and build photography, new typography to pair with their existing logotype, developing a new brand color system, including a simple formula to help create new palettes for future campaigns, designing a custom set of prints to be used across printed, social and digital assets and bringing a distinctly MIXT voice to the copy. We then implemented this new brand identity across in-store touchpoints, packaging, social, digital, and traditional advertising. The first image below is a set of sketches we used to quickly gut check the visual refresh with Mixt. Once a direction was chosen we fully fleshed out the system.
